Making the Marching Band

My friend Tamar of MTV'S Buzzworthy blog and Fashion Binge posted the side by side of Mike from Day 26 wearing his black military jacket the day after Beyonce had worn hers. I don't know why this was so humorous to me, but it was. I tried desperately to get a pic of Mike to do the side by side, had him pose in front of my desk and everything (he was a good sport about it), pressed the button on my friend Travis' iphone, but I'd pressed the wrong button and never got my pic. It was devestating for a few minutes lol BUT Tamar to the rescue!! Check out the post on Buzzworthy here.

Clothes call! One time for the big girls!

We love fashion here at sassythings but to be quite candid, shit don't always fit. Fashion is not always made for the luxe size (i can't bring myself to call myself plus size..i just can't.) frame, and as my grandmother would say "Just cause they made it in your size, don't mean you have to wear it!"
While all my friends can go and pick out cute lil cheap tops, dresses, and bottoms at Forever 21, you can always find me where the accessories are cause Forever 21 has NEVER made anything large enough to wrap around my bust or hips.
Well now, that's changed. Forever 21 is launching Faith 21 their luxe size division. And I have faith I may actually be able to pick up a few cute little low price pieces now. I'm kinda excited!

Faith 21 launches May 1st.

And since we're celebrating big love today lol check out these cute flicks i found on suicide blonde

Tear Sheets!: The Art of Seduction

According to Glamour Magazine's May issue

Belle also has 6 ways to meet a man

The Single Girl has 3 ways to win/keep a man

We all know Steve Harvey says Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man and Whitney Casey has a Man Plan

So if you're looking for a spring fling or a summer love, there is a WEALTH of information floating around on how to snag a man. I read Steve Harvey's book for a book club, read Belle and Parlour religiously, so I've soaked up quite a bit. But aside from space, opportunity and availability, I think ladies should tap into their brains and instincts in order to snag and keep a man. People are so different and there are so many exceptions no 3, 6, or 9 things are going to work in particular. Don't get discouraged, make yourself available, but never desperate and never NEVER settle. Am I offering love advice?? Time to go.
